Die IBMA Awards 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee
Die IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) ist Amerikas große Bluegrass-Dachorganisation mit Sitz in Nashville, Tennessee, der die meisten bekannten, aber auch viele noch nicht so bekannte und auch diverse Nachwuchsbands angehören. So heißt es zu den Zielen auf der IBMA-Seite:

Folgerichtig wird von der Organisation jedes Jahr zu Beginn des Herbstes zur Vergabe des IBMA-Awards nach Nashville eingeladen. Es ist jedesmal ein großes Bluegrass-Fest über mehrere Tage, wo die Creme de la Creme des Bluegrass zusammenkommt und große Werkschau hält aber auch brillante Nachwuchskünstler und Prodigies ihr Können zeigen können und wo eben jedes Jahr die besten Musiker und Bands des Bluegrass gekürt werden. Wenn man so will, die Oscar-Verleihung des Bluegrass. Neben den offiziellen Gigs sind es natürlich auch die vielen kleinen spontanen Sessions, beispielsweise irgendwo auf den Gängen des Convention Centers oder im Park in der Stadt, die die Bluegrassfans, die extra für dieses Spektakel aus aller Welt anreisen, so begeistern. Begleitend zur Musik fanden natürlich auch jede Menge Workshops, Vorträge und Diskussionsveranstaltungen rund um das Thema Bluegrass, Instrumente und Kultur statt.
In diesem Jahr waren nun die Formation Dailey & Vincent die Stars der Veranstaltung, die gleich drei Auszeichnungen mit nach Hause nehmen duften. So wurden sie, nun schon zum dritten Mal in Folge zum “Entertainer of the Year” gewählt. Dazu kamen noch die Auszeichnungen als “Vocal Group of the Year” und “Album of the Year”. Insgesamt waren die beiden Halbbrüder zehnmal nominiert worden. Des weitreren wurden wie folgt ausgezeichnet:
